This annual festival is all about enjoying R&B, soul, hip hop music with art, culture, love, and wellness. Get ready to celebrate differences, spread and share in the good vibes. Apart from getting to enjoy the world of arts and music, prepare yourself for a culinary experience as the finest regional and local food vendors will also be there. Make sure you visit the Butterfly Village prepared by a local butterfly conservationist and enjoy the music while skating at Sol Skate, the outdoor skating rink at the festival.

The annual 3 day festival was born out of an idea to provide a venue where like-minded people could meet and enjoy music together. Pioneered by Justin Nordan and Fornati Kumeh in 2017, the festival was meant to focus on R&B, Soul, and a little bit of hiphop music. The saw the need for this as music festivals are mostly playing rock, rap, and pop. Nordan says, “there hasn’t really been a lot of chill Soul R&B festivals, and we wanted to fill that gap.”
Nordan also explains, “Sol Blume is a one day Soul R&B music experience with an emphasis on culture, diversity, music, food, art. It’s a place where like minded people can come together and listen to a playlist come to life. We like to think that we have more of a chill and organic feel, we love when the music feels really passionate and organic, and that’s how we come up with our line up.”
On May 3, 2024, Omar Apollo, Pinkpantheress, Dom Kennedy & TeeFLii, Jojo, Umi, Maeta,Naomi Sharon,Raahiim, Lekan, and Amindo will be performing.
On May 4, 2024, fans will be graced with the live performances of Masego, SiR, Wale, Kelela, Kota the Friend, Jordan Ward, Ama Lou, Elmiene Khamari, Samm Henshaw, and Nate Curry & Harris Rudman.
Finally, on the last day of the festival, May 5, 2024, Partynextdoor, Ari Lennox, Doechii, Toosii, Ayra Starr, Libianca, Chase Shakur, Leon Thomas, Karri, and Chxrry22 will be taking on the Sol Plume stage.
This unrivaled lineup of R&B swooners, rhyming royalty, and seductive songstresses at this year's carnival offers fans a vast array of captivating musical performers from the R&B, hip-hop, and soul genres.
Festival goers can expect to be welcomed with interactive art pieces, a wide variety of food options, local clothing firms, and "Instagram worthy" spots where they could take document their Sol Plume experience.
