Grammy Award-winning metal band Korn released their latest album Requiem last year. The record is their 14th studio release, peaking at number 14 on the Billboard 200 and topping the Hard Rock Albums. Besides the U.S., the album also made waves in the international scene, entering the charts in over 30 countries. Requiem, which spawned critically acclaimed singles “Start the Healing” and “Forgotten,” follows the band’s series of Billboard 200 Top 10 chart-performing studio releases. The band first made its breakthrough in 1994 with their self-titled debut album. After a stellar introduction, Korn released 12 more albums, which entered the Billboard 200’s Top 10. In fact, Korn is one of the few nu-metal bands to top the chart during the ‘90s with their 1998 and 1999 efforts, Follow the Leader and Issue.
Punk fans are given their turn on Aftershock Day 3 because iconic Maryland-born quartet Turnstile will take the big stage. The band recently received three Grammy nominations for “Black Out” and “Holiday.” After 13 years in the business, the Grammy nods were the band’s first-ever major accolades. Since releasing their debut album, Nonstop Feeling, in 2015, Turnstile has pretty much gained a niche following. But two years ago, their third effort Glow On notably topped the Hard Rock chart and peaked at number 30 on the Billboard 200. Over in the U.K., the album reached number 2 on the Rock and Metal charts. Last year, Turnstile’s latest single, “Holiday,” performed impressively on the Mainstream Rock Songs and Hot Alternative Songs chart.
311 is one of the few bands in the Aftershock line-up that emerged in the ‘80s – other bands born in the era include Pantera, who will headline Day 1, and Guns N’ Roses on Day 4. When 311 was formed in 1988, the band was on a mission to cleverly infuse funk, rock, rap, reggae, and metal into one catchy package. Over the last few decades, the band has amassed a loyal following. They have released 14 studio albums, including their breakthrough self-titled record that changed everything. The 1995 album spawned their biggest hit single, “Down,” which earned triple platinum status in the U.S. The band has sold over three million albums in North America. However, it’s their live shows that bring in audiences by the thousands. 311 has creatively given their live shows a new twist by celebrating the 311 Day music festival on a Caribbean Cruise.
