This much-awaited line-up will conquer the Discovery Park on Sunday, 15th October 2023. Fans can definitely look forward to a plethora of chart-performing hits as these fantastic music artists deliver their high-energy sets! Last year, the GoldenSky Festival had its inaugural show at the same venue. In partnership with Visit Sacramento, the promoter aims to make the destination a “City of Festivals." Country music superstar Eric Church will be headlining the second day of the GoldenSky Festival. This 2023, the prolific singer-songwriter is also headlining a massive trek titled the Outsiders Revival Tour. Church, commonly known as The Chief, is celebrating the tenth anniversary of his highly-successful album, The Outsiders. The album, which features several hits, “The Outsiders,” “Give Me Back My Hometown,” “Cold One,” and more,” topped the Billboard 200 and the Country Albums charts. Upon its release, the record received wide critical acclaim, with some writers calling it Church’s best work yet. The album was supported by a massive outing titled The Outsiders World Tour, which ran from 2014 to 2015. Earlier this year, the Church embarked on a massive spring outing which will extend all the way to summer due to public demand. With his headlining gig at the GoldenSky Festival, Church’s schedule is pretty packed for this year. He’s, after all, among the most in-demand country music artists at the moment.
Church will be joined by Americana wunderkind, Parker McCollum. Last year, McCollum bagged the New Male Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Award and the Breakthrough Video of the Year at the CMT Music Award. Having emerged ten years ago with his self-released EP, A Red Town View, these prestigious accolades are a long-time coming feat. In 2021, McCollum achieved his initial breakthrough with Gold Chain Cowboy. The album entered the Billboard 200 at number 60 and peaked at number 6 on the Top Country Albums. The critically-acclaimed record spawned two hits, the double platinum-selling “Pretty Heart” and the CMT Award-winning single “To Be Loved By You.” This 2023, McCollum is promoting his latest album, Never Enough, which is set to drop this May. The album already released its lead single, “Handle On You,” which rose to number 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number 2 on the Country Airplay Songs chart.
The line-up also features country songstresses Lainey Wilson and Elle King. Last year, Wilson won two American Country Music Awards for Female Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year. These accolades are the result of her groundbreaking work with her third album, Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’, released in 2021. Meanwhile, Elle King received her fourth Grammy nomination last year for her collaborating single with Miranda Lambert, “Drunk (And I Don’t Want To Go Home).”
